Koh Tao is blessed with an all year round season and offer wonderfully calm, lagoon-like, conditions for conducting PADI Scuba Reviews in the bays of Aow Leuk and Mango. The island offers an abundance of shallow bays, filled with colourful corals and large sandy areas, ideal for practicing entry level skills. A short boat ride out you will encounter larger, deeper dive sites and experience the excitement of diving the famous pinnacles of Sail Rock, Chumphon and South West, where the water teams with schooling Jacks, Batfish and Barracuda. The variety of dive experiences available and the long season makes Koh Tao the successful dive education destination it is today and means it is a great choice to begin your professional training with a Dive-Careers PADI Internship.
Koh Tao also has some great artificial reefs, having already build some impressive structures in Tanote Bay with many other ongoing projects at dive sites around the island. Koh Tao is an excellent destination for training in PADI specialties such as Underwater Photograhper and Naturalist Diver. There is also a popular wreck dive that lies just off the shore, at a depth of around 18-30m, where you can explore the sunken navy vessel HTMS Sattakut. It's a great dive and the perfect place to gain your PADI Wreck Diver Specialty.
