DIVE THE BEST ATOLLS IN THE MALDIVES WITH AMBA LIVEABOARDS!

The AMBA has been a comfort class diving safari ship for more than 15 years with a lot of individual charm and a very experienced and friendly crew.

THE SPACIOUS YACHT

The large and well-maintained yacht can accommodate a maximum of 20 guests, mainly from Germany, Austria and Switzerland.

The ship is 34 meters long and 10 meters wide. With a width of 10 meters and the carefully built-in stabilizers, the AMBA is a very safe and quiet ship. There are a total of 4 floor levels, but for safety the ship is more wide than it is built high.

The motors and generators are very quiet and at night you will hear next to nothing but the sound of the sea. Even the cabins on the lower deck, which are close to the generators, are very quiet at night.

ON BOARD LANGUAGE & NATIONALITIES

Many languages are spoken on board the AMBA. However, German and English are the main languages. The guests come mainly from German-speaking countries. Of course, we also warmly welcome any other nationality. Asian and Russian divers like to be among themselves and usually book boats where their language is the main language on board.

EXTRA COSTS

Please take a look at the price list. Experience has shown that guests take between 400 and 600 euros in cash on board. Credit cards or bank transfers are not accepted. The crew is happy to receive a tip, which experience has shown is 100 euros per diver for short trips and 150 to 200 euros for long trips. Of course, tips are always up to you

CLIMATE & CLOTHING

Generally warm and humid. The sun shines all year round and the average temperatures are between 29 ° C and 32 ° C. Water temperature between 27 ° and 29 °

T-shirts and shorts or skirts are sufficient. It can sometimes rain, so we recommend taking a thin jacket with you. Our crew is very modern and has been used to dealing with tourists for 15 years. So you don't have to make sure that pants are long enough or that the shoulders are covered.

There is no dress rule on board. However, it is desirable that shorts and outerwear be worn at mealtime. We strongly advise against taking too much laundry on board. It's hot in the Maldives. Experienced Maldives travelers have 2 shorts and 2 T-shirts as well as pretzels, chocolate and German coffee for the instructor in their luggage;)

CHECK IN & CHECK OUT

The guests will be picked up by the crew at 2 p.m. at counter 14 of the airport. During the crossing to the AMBA the diving equipment is set up. Please pack your diving gear so that you have quick access. When you arrive at AMBA there is a welcome drink and an ice-cold lime towel for refreshment.

If guests arrive earlier at the airport, our partner Hotel Mookai offers a DayStay including transfer in Male for a maximum duration of 6 hours or up to 10 hours at a fair price of either 65 euros or 100 euros per person. Booking is easy with the online check-in as soon as you have booked your trip and the flights have been confirmed.

To check out, guests are asked to leave the ship at 8 a.m. The transfer to the airport starts at 8 a.m. If guests have booked a late flight home, a day stay including transfer can of course also be booked here at short notice on board at the same conditions.
